Hello all readers. We just wanted to share our first Christmas here at  Veterans New Beginnings with you because we are proud and happy about it. It was filled with the Christmas spirit. We wanted to have a nice dinner together and the veterans did not want the same menu as Thanksgiving, so we did it the veterans way.

We had our first Christmas celebration here. We ate, danced and laughed our hearts out. We ate Chicken wings, Catfish, Dirty Rice, Greenbeans, Three Cheese Macaroni, Corn Salad, Dinner Rolls and cake. We had a jolly ole time. Mr. Stan Smith also presented $100 cash prize to Mr. Carl Taylor who was the winner of the Pool tournament we had on December 22nd.

We would like to thank the following for their food and music donations: DJ K9, J&J’s Fish and Chicken, Mrs. Bates-Brown, Christopher Smith, Mr. Clint Curtiss and last but certainly not least Mr. Stan Smith.

Our veterans loved their first Christmas here at Veterans New Beginnings and we look forward to next Christmas because we plan to make it a bigger event. We would love to invite you all to share in the holiday spirit with us.
